My name is Winta Ghebre and I’m a dutch visual artist and graphic designer of Eritrean origin. My areas of expertise include installations, performance, digital media, and film. With my artistic approach, I study the intricate connections between my environment and the passing of time. This exploration encompasses various aspects such as nature, architecture, culture, and (geo)politics. Through meticulous analysis, these conventional and linear notions are transformed into fresh and captivating objects and visual languages. In doing so, I shed light on the often overlooked and yet inherently significant elements of our surroundings.
